and the Word was God

In this World ye shall have sorrows; but have courage; I have conquered the World

Thus, Christ says to His father: I have manifested Thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world

I have manifested Thy name unto the men which Thou gavest me out of the world: Thine they were, and Thou gavest them me; and they have kept Thy word.

Jesus says this to the Father in prayer for His disciples that He was about to abandon, before leaving this world, and He says this to His Father. And we see that it was a prayer for us.

Jesus tells to the Father what He did on earth at the word of the Father :

I have finished the work which Thou gavest me to do.

I have manifested Thy name unto the men which Thou gavest me out of the world: Thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept Thy word.

I have given unto them the words which Thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from Thee

Jesus goes on to say clearly that he is not asking for THE whole WORLD, but only for … CHRISTIANS Apostles and you and me :

I pray not for the world, but for them which Thou hast given me; for they are Thine.

Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;

This is said about the APOSTLES and about us:

but for them also which shall believe on me through their word

And, at the end of this prayer

O righteous Father, the world hath not known Thee: but I have known Thee, and These have known that Thou hast sent me.

Christ is praying for whom, exactly? For all and everyone?

for them which Thou hast given me

meaning, for 82 Apostles

and

for them also which shall believe on me through their word

And for no one else….

I pray not for the world

I pray not for the world

I pray not for the world

 I have overcome the World
